Woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend... Just when I thought life could not get any better I heard a knock on my door, it was Cancer.
It changed everything but not for the worse. I choose Life and Hope .
BACK OFF CANCER is what I say!

A month! So fast or so slow ???

Today marks one month of my cancer diagnosis. As I ponder to think upon the past 30 days I really can't decide if it went fast or incredibly slow... I think the answer is BOTH!
So much has happened... including 2 ER Visits, 3 rounds of chemo, 1 surgery, a scare of another cancer ( I decided not to share with all but last week , during a doctor visit, they found a small lump in my leg ... quickly sent to Biopsy... very hard 2 hours but Thank God it was just FAT! I loved hearing that word: FAT! FAT! FAT!)

I have learned how to wear scarves and earrings... still learning how to listen to my body and deal with the exhaustion....

I have learned the names of so many meds.. including the close to 20 that I take every day....

I shaved my head and thought I looked good with a short hair cut... I lost all my hair and I am not sure how cute I look BOLD!

Met some wonderful people, reunited to lost friends... got even closer to the ones that I thought was impossible to get closer to!

Met Malu, Alexandra's daughter , who is precious in every way.. she is HOPE ! And we will always be connected in some coincidence of dates...

I am still learning that "taking a day at the time".. and "enjoying every minute" is a very difficult task that requires lots of discipline and patience... but.. I am still learning and I do have a long way to go so... I will get there!

A picture of Leonardo, during a glorious Spring day, ... and he is my daily reminder that I WILL get better , because we have so many things to do in this wonderful life that waits ahead of us!

many kisses
love

Dear Francesca, wow, you are so strong and I am proud of you! You look great with short hair! Even if we are in France, fare away, we are always thinking about you and I know you will fight and get okay soon. My old friend Carsten is on you side - and with him you are even stronger and cute Leonardo gives you all the force you need! Gros bisous de France Sabine and family
